WHERE HAVE ALL THE FLOWERS GONE? Back in print

This really beautiful environment book suitable for 5 years and up to adults won a Wilderness Society environment award for children's books. It has now been re-released by Five Senses Education in Sydney.

PROUDLY PRINTED IN AUSTRALIA.

IT DETAILS THE BEAUTIFUL WILDFLOWERS THAT GREW ON RED HILL ON SYDNEY'S NORTHERN BEACHES. Then the land was developed for housing and the flowers were bulldozed, roads laid and houses built. But Where have all the flowers gone?  Gone forever for houses every one that's where all the flowers have gone! It has a small 1 page essay in the back detailing how Australia has lost 50% of its vegetation since European settlement. The flowers are beautifully illustrated in full colour by artist Jan Wade.

Cruising and lecturing on Princess cruise ships.

Five cruises in the last year giving lectures to passengers on topics relevant to the itinerary. My 30 subjects ranged from History and geology of the Pacific Islands visited, Writing, Pacific "Ring of Fire", Religion of Bali, Cannibalism in the Pacific and Pacific sea life.

Of course I had port days free to discover the places visited. We've had many fabulous times. Usually my husband Roger M accompanied me.

Lady Cutler Award winner 2014

What an honour!

On November 18, 2014 I was presented with the Lady Cutler Award 2014 for services to Children's literature by the Children's Book Council of Australia, NSW Branch.

Thank you to CBCA for the great honour plus Ernie Tucker for nomination and Belinda Murrel for seconding.

What a grand exciting night we enjoyed at the Castlereagh Hotel. It was lovely to see my family, supporters and CBCA members on the night especially Maurie Saxby (who sadly died 3 weeks later).

Citation attached.
